To be considered for membership, an individual must be referred by a current Trustee.  All candidates are interviewed by at least two members.  The final step for candidates is review and approval by the Operating Committee.  Current annual dues are $750, with an additional $200 initiation fee for new members. Additional dues apply for those who qualify for and choose dual membership in both CEO Trust organizations.

We have two membership organizations: CEO Trust and CEO Trust Quovis.

CEO Trust:  A CEO being considered for membership must:

Occupy or have held the most senior executive position within a corporation, division, subsidiary, or affiliate of an enterprise; business-related firm or entity; or non-profit organization. The key criteria is to hold or have held the responsibility for a complete, autonomous business.

In the case of for-profit business enterprises, be responsible for annual revenues of at least $50 million and have under one’s direct operating responsibility at least 15 full-time employees or their equivalents; or

In the case of non-profit organizations, be responsible for at least $25 million in operating budget and have under one’s direct responsibility at least 15 full-time employees or their equivalent.

Be willing to participate in the The CEO Trust's activities.

CEO Trust Quovis: A CEO being considered for membership must meet the same requirements as above, except for the business size hurdles. The requirement instead is that the business includes a reporting structure reflecting the typical span of control that a CEO is likely to manage in a going concern. Service businesses, such as consulting firms usually will not qualify.

Quovis comes from Latin, meaning "to whatever place you will" or "to any place at all." An apt name for a group that includes CEOs who aspire to join the ranks of the CEO Trust, CEOs who are serial entrepreneurs, and certain family-owned and other business CEOs who wish to succeed as small companies.

The philosophy and values of Trustees are based on honor and integrity.
The programs are great. Most Trustees find them compelling and participate actively.
Trustees have stellar backgrounds, and are impressive people.
The very core essence of the CEO Trust is trust, relationships and generosity of spirit that permeate the organization.
Members describe the CEO Trust as unlike any other organization they’ve known. They refer to other Trustees as friends, confidants, valued partners and colleagues. Consistently they speak of membership as deeply and uniquely rewarding.
